Danat Al Ain Resort opens McGettigan's on property

It's the first location for the popular Irish bar in Al Ain

Danat Al Ain Resort, the five-star property in Al Ain, has opened popular Irish bar McGettingan’s on its premises.

The Irish bar has outlets in the UAE in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, but the recent opening marked its first location in Al Ain.

Danat Al Ain Resort general manager Ahmed Margoushy said: “The opening of McGettigan’s in Al Ain will offer residents and visitors a place to relax after a day’s work, catch up with friends for a drink or celebrate with families. We welcome you to the new McGettigan’s and we look forward to seeing most of you in the coming days.”

The menu offers classis Irish dishes, Wagyu burgers and desserts. 12 large screens have also been installed in the outlet that will play live sports from around the world.

The Irish bar, in a statement said that it will feature live performances from Ireland’s top musicians, bands and comedians in a series of one off gigs throughout the year. Guests can also enjoy performances from local bands and DJs on various nights of the week.

The bar will be open from noon to 2 am from Saturday to Wednesday and from noon to 4 am Thursdays and Fridays. Happy hour is every day from 5 pm to 8 pm.
