The two Emirati entrepreneurs behind Festember, an annual arts and entertainment festival, will launch a new concept next month.

40Mule by Festember is a pop-up dining concept and culinary experience, with an aim to change the food scene in Abu Dhabi.

The chef launching 40Mule by Festember is Ben Spalding, who trained at  restaurants including Per Se, Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, Bagatelle and The Fat Duck.

Noora Al Mazrui and Latifa Al Hamed see 40Mule as a global F&B incubator, where they travel the world meeting undiscovered chefs and bring them back to the UAE, to build and develop their trade within 40Mule’s live event spaces.

“This year at Festember we are launching a new contemporary dining concept called 40Mule by Festember that will change the culinary scene in Abu Dhabi. Having a unique dining formula, 40Mule by Festember will be an incredible experience for visitors to the festival,” said co-founder Latifa Al Hamed.

Presented by Abu Dhabi Food Festival 2017 and in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, this project will take place during Festember, between 13 – 17 December, at Umm Al Emarat Park, with the aim to turn Abu Dhabi into a global hub for food innovation that nurtures and inspires young chefs from across the globe to change their approach to culinary creativity.

Co-founder Noora Al Mazrui concluded: “With a combination of design, live event entertainment and cutting-edge cuisine, 40Mule by Festember transforms the way our audience and guests interact with food and intensifies their passion for flavourful origins”.
