Thomas Keller opens Bouchon Bakery in Dubai
The venue is the first venture for the chef in the UAE and his second in the Middle East
Thomas Keller, has officially launched his first Bouchon Bakery in Dubai at The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Welcoming VIPs, media and fans, the American restaurateur and author welcomed guests, posed for photos and signed copies of his Bouchon Bakery Cookbook.
Nestled within the shoreline community, The Beach, the venue is the first venture for Thomas Keller in the UAE, and his second in the Middle East, following the launch of Bouchon Bakery, Kuwait in September 2017. With a wide selection of the brand’s artisanal breads, viennoiseries and pastries, in addition to light-bites – sandwiches, quiches and salads to eat-in or takeaway, the venue offers abundant choice for casual dining. Bouchon Bakery exclusively carries the Thomas Keller Espresso blend, the product of a 15-year collaboration Keller and Equator Coffees & Teas.
With interiors created by designer Adam D. Tihany, the bakery exudes a mix of American warmth and French charm. The outdoor seating area is fitted with Maison Gatti bistro chairs and strategically placed planters that provide privacy.
Keller said in a statement: “Consumers in the Middle East have a remarkable appetite for high-quality food. I am extremely proud to give our guests in the UAE a glimpse of my memories in France, with a range of unique and delicious foods.”
Keller the only American-born chef to simultaneously have two three-starred Michelin restaurants. The star count across his restaurants includes three at New York’s Per Se, three at The French Laundry one at Bouchon, both located in Napa Valley, California.
Bouchon Bakery is now open from 8am to 11pm weekdays and 8am to 12am on weekends.
