New conservatory-inspired cafe opens in Dubai
Housed in a 2-story villa in Jumeirah 1, the all-day dining concept serves modern European fare
Society Café is the newest addition to Dubai’s casual dining scene.
Offering modern European fare, the café offers a menu of breakfast dishes, freshly made pastries and specialty coffee.
An advocate of using locally sourced products, Society Café obtains its micro greens from Organic Oasis (an organic farm in Dubai) and its coffee beans from boutique coffee roasters, Blacksmith Coffee in Abu Dhabi.
Open from 8am to 10pm, Society Café’s menu features dishes available all day including the Wagyu burger, pan-seared salmon and king prawn linguini.
Housed inside a restored 2-story villa, Society Café pays homage to the classic conservatory and includes design elements such as glass windows (filtering up to 51% of sunrays and heat), neutral accents of white, sky blue and gold as well as lush foliage. Society Café sits up to 127 guests in its four distinct spaces namely – conservatory, café, lounge and terrace.
Society Café general manager Darrell Guest said in a statement: “The menu was designed to reflect the cultural-culinary landscape of the time and just like its namesake, reflects the melting pot of cultures and flavour palettes in this society (Dubai) that we live in. At the end of the day, we want to create a multi-functional space that can be enjoyed by everyone at all times”.
