Hospitality industry provider Sysco Guest Supply is boosting its commitment to the mid-market hotel sector in the Middle East, by confirming sponsorship of the Hotelier Express Summit 2017 set to take place on November 22 at the Grosvenor House in Dubai.Speaking to Hotelier Express, mid-range hospitality specialist Sonja Allen said: “We are here to support our mid-range hoteliers with quality products that can add value to their design and support the hotels’ commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly products, whilst meeting challenging budgets.  I have spent the last eight months developing a range of amenities specific to the mid-range hotels in the Middle East, with a comprehensive portfolio of amenities and our new sleek modern bio-degradable dispenser.”

Allen said that Sysco Guest Supply is mindful of the challenges faced by mid-market hoteliers, that of optimising operational efficiencies while under pressure to constantly improve the guest experience. As the sector’s partner in achieving objectives, Sysco Guest Supply has pro-actively developed its mid-market range accordingly.

“We are extremely focused on operational challenges specific to the mid-range segment,” Allen said, adding: “Managing operational costs is always challenging.  With competition getting tougher, hoteliers must assess the guest experience more.”

Elaborating on the new mid-market range of Sysco Guest Supply amenities, Allen highlighted the importance of aligning tasteful style with affordability.
“Just because it’s mid-range doesn’t mean it has to look or be any less appealing.Quality and affordability are the way forward.  Some of the mid-range hotels are phenomenal and differentiating yourself and maintaining standards whilst meeting budgets, is key to success,” she said.

For mid-market hoteliers who are keen to know more about operational ‘best practices’ from industry colleagues and providers, Allen said the Hotelier Express Summit is a crucial tool.

“The Hotelier Express Summit provides a much needed platform, to share top tips and discuss the day-to-day issues this growing market faces.  As the world’s largest supplier of textiles, room appliances and amenities to the hospitality industry, we believe it is important to understand your client’s challenges. Budgets, brand guidelines and day-to-day operational necessities and how we, as a company, can best partner our clients.  The best way to do this is listen,” she said, adding that Sysco Guest Supply is slated to roll out additional OS&E brands and new amenities for mid-range hoteliers in 2018.

With new mid-market hotel innovations in design and concepts as well as guest experiences now coming up in the UAE , whilst still retaining price accessibility, Allen expressed her enthusiasm for the sector going forward.

“The mid-range hoteliers will change the face of tourism for the UAE,” she said.
