Welbilt appoints new demonstration chef for the Middle East
Nicholas Bates will demonstrate the operational benefits of Welbilt equipment and solutions through live cooking demonstrations and menu development
Welbilt Middle East has appointed Nicholas Bates as its new demonstration chef for the region.
For the past ten years, Bates has been working in the UK foodservice industry as a research & development chef. He has also held numerous executive chef positions, experience which will help provide insight into the challenges faced by foodservice operators and how Welbilt equipment can help resolve operational issues, cost challenges and help to grow sales and profitability.
In his new role, Bates will demonstrate the operational benefits of Welbilt equipment and solutions through live cooking demonstrations and menu development, both at the Welbilt demo kitchen in Dubai and across the region.
Bates expressed his delight over his new Welbilt position:“With best-in-class cooking equipment and solutions, we can help foodservice operators increase quality and expand capacity, while reducing cost of ownership and operational challenges. Aside of cooking and demonstrating, my role will be as an advisor for our customers and partners to make sure they have the right equipment and solutions based on their needs."
Regional culinary support is another major step for Welbilt Middle East, following the recent opening of its Dubai facilities which includes a demonstration kitchen and training center. The new facilities are intended to support launches of oven platforms such as the Convotherm 4 and the Merrychef eikon e2S.
