What makes OSN a good fit as a supplier for the mid-market hospitality sector?

OSN has a comprehensive range of channels (more than 140) covering many genres, from exclusive rights of Hollywood movies to Bollywood and sport. We can provide these channels in tailored and customisable packages, ensuring an entertainment offering for every budget and demographic.

From in-room entertainment (IRE) to public viewing (PV), OSN caters for all within the hospitality sector – IRE in general is important and of high-value to hotel guests. OSN looks to provide an extensive home-from-home entertainment platform, especially as over 65% of hotel guests still consider quality of TV channel listings as the number one IRE service priority.

What are some challenges that you face in the sector?

The biggest challenge we face is educating consumers that OSN IRE is an affordable option. With custom channel selections, OSN can provide entertainment solutions for every budget; the catalogue of channels and programmes in the OSN portfolio allows all demographics to be catered for, whether it be movies, sport or kids’ content.

What are some of the opportunities which OSN can capitalise on in the sector?

The breadth of content that OSN has to offer allows us to be at the forefront of IRE for all categories of hotels. OSN has channels to make every stay enjoyable, whether it is business travel or a family vacation. As the needs of hotel guests are constantly evolving, it is important for OSN to stay ahead of the curve and offer the IRE content that every demographic can consume to reflect the changing tastes in TV.

How is OSN different from its competitors in the sector?

OSN provides the latest movies and series first, before any other platform. With most of the movies and series exclusive to OSN and available nowhere else, OSN’s offering is truly unique. It is not only the quality of content that makes OSN stand out. The engagement we provide, from no-fee installations to technical support, is part of a best-in-class holistic customer service to distinguish ourselves from other IRE & PV suppliers.

What are your bestselling products for hotel clients?

OSN offers a variety of channels that are extremely popular and consumed through both PV & IRE, across all demographics. In the UAE, our most popular channel for the hospitality sector  is Disney Channel HD, selected by 63% of all customers.

On OSN Movies, hotel guests are able to see Hollywood’s biggest hits for the first time on TV, such as our upcoming premieres: ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Rogue One’. Our entertainment channels OSN Series First HD and OSN First HBO HD are home to hits ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, respectively.

For our PV offering, OSN has a line up of sport, entertainment and Pehla + Pinoy content, such as ICC Cricket tournaments, Lions Rugby tour of New Zealand, the Golf Majors, the Indian Premier League and the latest South Asian entertainment and music.

Do you have any upcoming product launches?

Over time, viewing habits are changing, and this is one key area that OSN is focusing on to develop new products. OSN appreciates that people are consuming content on the move, and we are working with hotels to ensure that we are delivering our content in the right way. Hotel guests still value IRE service offerings very highly but industry research shows 57.4% of guests are attempting to connect their own devices to the in-room TV. We believe you should be in control of your TV experience, and not the other way around. Thanks to services like OSN On Demand, OSN Play and Series Link, you can do all of that, and more.

We are continually looking to expand our catalogue of entertainment content. By increasing our offering by genre, region and language, OSN is looking to reflect the needs of a more diverse demographic.
