French restaurant Le Classique, located in Dubai's Emirates Golf Club, is set to close at the end of July 2017, after opening 29 years ago.

The restaurant will serve an ‘Au Revoir’ set menu until the end of the month, which will serve the restaurant’s favourite dishes spanning almost three decades.

Available from Wednesday, July 5, the five-course ‘Au Revoir’ set menu is AED 275 per person (US $75) or AED 405 ($110) per person inclusive of selected grape and house beverages.

Highlights include foie gras poêlé, pineapple chutney and crispy quail; chef François’ French onion soup, lobster thermidor and a café gourmand featuring crepe suzette, peach melba and speciality coffees.

Dedicated to the chef François Porte, who opened Le Classique in the late 80s and served until his retirement in 2012, four dishes on the menu are ‘François style’ – re-creations of classic dishes he created during his long career.
An as-yet unrevealed dining experience is set to replace Le Classique.
