Belgian chocolatier Galler has opened its first GCC boutique and tea room in the Mall of Qatar. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was presided over by the Ambassador of Belgium to Qatar His Excellency Christophe Payot, with Galler group exectuive director Johnny De Gouveia, Galler Qatar CEO Donald Batal, business development manager Ghada Naim,and local media in attendance.

“I’m honored to be a part of this landmark moment for a truly iconic Belgian brand. As a true patriot and chocolate lover, it gives me tremendous pride and satisfaction to see a Belgian business establish such an impressive premise in this forward-thinking and fast-developing country. Partnerships and initiatives such as this one are important for our country and for our hosts. I am confident Galler Qatar will be a popular destination among the people of Qatar,” Ambassador Payot said. 

Founded by master confectioner Jean Galler in 1976, the Galler brand has emerged as a leader in the Belgian chocolate industry.

Apart from a retail chocolate boutique, Galler's Mall of Qatar venture also features a tea room which offers a range of salads and sandwiches to pastries and beverages.
