Khaled Shafik in DoSM role at Crowne Plaza Doha
Egyptian national will also look after the sales and marketing activities of Doha's first soon-to-open Holiday Inn hotel
Khaled Shafik has been appointed as director of sales and marketing for Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park.
Shafik will also handle the upcoming Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park.
In his new role as cluster DoSM, Shafik will be responsible for steering the sales and marketing activities of both properties including business development and partnership, sales execution, marketing and communications, as well as media strategies with focus on bottom line performance.
Shafik brings more than 22 years of experience in key account management, revenue management and marketing communications and has an extensive knowledge in MICE, corporate and travel markets.
Prior to his move in Qatar, Shafik was the complex director of sales and marketing for InterContinental Hotels Group Cairo Citystars overseeing four properties with an inventory of 1,100 hotel rooms and 30 meeting rooms.
His efforts helped the complex rise to the top in leisure and corporate segments in Cairo and maintained its top spot ranking in RGI.
