“I am excited upon taking on the role as acting general manager and look forward to continuing to provide an inspiring experience to all of our guests,” said Sahling.
The new director of sales and marketing, El Hachem, was with IHG Group before moving to Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.
El Hachem has 18 years' industry experience within the Middle East and 15 years of IHG brand knowledge.
His career within IHG began at InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut as housekeeping surpervisor, and he continued to grow within the company.
He continued to grow with three other venues, all within the Middle East, including Crowne Plaza Dubai, InterContinental Muscat and Crowne Plaza Doha.

“I am happy to welcome Georges to InterContinental Dubai Marina and look forward to working with him to further develop the sales and marketing strategy for both the property and the unique dining concepts within it," said Sahling.
