Vesna Dubai replaces Marco Pierre White Grill
Slavic restaurant to open in Conrad Dubai previously occupied by Marco Pierre White Grill
Slavic-themed restaurant Vesna Dubai will open at the Conrad Dubai on October 10, 2015, and is located on the site which previously hosted Rmal Hospitality-operated Marco Pierre White Grill.
The new concept is also third-party operated, by new restaurant group, Aston Restaurant Management Group.
Vesna, which translates to 'spring' in Russian, has a total seating capacity of 155 guests – 105 in the restaurant and 55 in the lounge bar.
It will have live music in the evenings for six days a week, with genres from soul to jazz, all performed by an in-house Vesna pianist and vocalist.
Signature Vesna dishes will inclide the Ukrainian borscht with a dash of Indian spices, chicken Kiev in Japanese bread crumbs and home-made noodles on Italian flour with fresh porcini mushrooms.
Head chef Maksim Tvorogov is a member of the St. Petersburg club of chefs. Prior to joining Vesna, he worked on TV show "Cooking Light" on “EdaHD” and worked across various restaurants in St Petersburg. The restaurant's executive chef is Angelova Irina, who is also a restaurateur.
