Weekly events to tap into the millennial market's desire for culture and authenticity
The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has launched weekly "experiential events" to capture the millennial market.
Designed with Generation Y's travel tendencies in mind, Experiential Events by The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal are weekly workshops hosted by the hotel’s cultural ambassadors at the executive Club Lounge.
The first in a series of workshops will showcase traditional regional practices such as preparing spiced Arabic coffee or centuries-old skincare and beauty routines of Arabia.
Catering to tech-savvy millennials - defined as those born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s – the Club Lounge offers flexible working areas, instant Internet connectivity as well as pre-arrival registration and mobile check-out via The Ritz-Carlton mobile app.
The app’s GPS technology also allows the application to recognise when a guest has arrived at a Ritz-Carlton and can provide location specific advice, information and even exclusive offers. Guests can learn more about local area culture and customs, concierge tips and even the hotel’s art collection.
The app also integrates The Ritz-Carlton World Concierge global recommendations from Four Square, the social media platform.
