How long have you been in hotel purchasing?
I have been in the purchasing/ procurement department for three years now, but have more than nine years of experience in the hospitality industry.
What products are you on the lookout for?
Since there is a wide selection of merchandise offered by different suppliers, I am always on the lookout for innovative and eco-friendly products focused on enhancing the overall hotel experience by incorporating smart technology that is easy to use, while delivering high quality guest amenities, lighting, and engineering supplies.
What area of your hotel are you most proud of?
First Central Hotel Apartments, managed by Central Hotels, features 524 rooms so it’s a big inventory, in addition to our dining outlets and other facilities. We cater to both business and leisure travellers, and are committed to being at “the centre of hospitality”. Working on this promise, I see to it that all the requirements of our guests and staff are met. There is no particular area in the property that I prefer more than the other. Every aspect of our operations is taken care of to ensure that our guests enjoy a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable stay.
Tell us about one of your most successful deals?
Since I started working with First Central Hotel Apartments, my main goal has been to reduce costs without compromising on the quality of the products we offer our guests. Subsequently I have successfully reduced the cost of linen by 25%, which is a great contribution to the overall expenditure of the property.
What does a supplier have to do to impress you?
Firstly, a supplier should have complete product knowledge about the item he is selling. Secondly, they should have stocks that are immediately available for order and delivery.
