Hotelier sweeps up the latest products for housekeeping departments
Dhofar Global has launched a new line of food-safe recycled paper products. The Celtex e-tissue range includes hand towels, centre-feed rolls and kitchen towels. There is no discernible difference in thickness or durability between e-tissue products and virgin paper alternatives, the only noticeable distinction being that e-tissue products are a creamy colour rather than pure white. The reason for the off-white colour is that the principal company manufactures the e-tissue line from trimmings from its other paper products along with craft paper and centre-feed cores. The fact that all the products have been certified food-safe by TUV will be a key selling point for food preparation units seeking a recycled product.
Prologic First supplies the RFID-enabled Linen Manager from Foundation Logic, introduced to help hotels deal with the challenges related to linen management. The Linen Manager system is specifically designed to automate linen operations in housekeeping departments of hotels. With RFID technology, the system can reduce the time and effort involved in processing linen and taking labour intensive inventories. Accounting procedures such as purchasing, receiving, and order reconciliation are all made easier with the system too.

GULF ASIAN GENERAL TRADING
Gulf Asian has introduced a new waterproof range for its Terry pillow and mattress protectors. The company has also launched Lintaz — a new range of bed, bath and F&B linen. Gulf Asian’s products are produced at the company’s manufacturing unit, Derby Textile Factory, which allows the company to customise the linen according to the hotel’s specifications and offer bulk quantities within a short time. While the products are manufactured locally, the production cycle is stringently supervised and controlled at every stage, from sourcing to cutting, stitching, finishing, embroidery, quality control, and packaging.
