Travel website reveals most prolific contributors and most-reviewed destinations
Travel website Trip Advisor has recognised its most prolific contributors in 2014, including one user who left more than 1000 reviews.
The user, Susan K, who goes by the name mini on the website, left 1090 reviews between January and September, primarily for restaurants, hotels and attractions in the US.
“Over the years, the TripAdvisor community has helped me find many fantastic places to visit, and I like to pay that forward by contributing my own experiences,” she said.
“I’ve recently made it a hobby to visit the attractions that have fewer reviews in hopes of helping other travellers discover hidden gems.”
The most contributions were made by scottca075, who submitted 6138 reviews, forum posts, and photos to the website.
Meanwhile, the most photos were uploaded by cherylh903, with a total of 5184.
“Our global travel community adds 115 contributions to the site every minute, helping to make TripAdvisor the world’s best place to plan a trip,” said TripAdvisor chief marketing officer Barbara Messing.
“We thank our most active members, as well as each of our contributors. Their candid feedback is the lifeblood of TripAdvisor and helps others find the information and advice they need before they travel or visit a business.”
