Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana hosted a fun day carnival for children with special needs
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana has hosted a carnival-themed fun day event for students of Special Care Centre, featuring a variety of activities and with involvement from hotel employees.
Held on December 1, the fun day saw a magician, face painter and clown entertain the children, who were also treated to a special cupcake decoration class hosted by Al Maha Arjaan’s pastry chefs.
The students also received personalised carnival-themed notebooks and rubber stacks with their names as gifts.
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana general manager Sherif Madkour said: “Just spending the day with this children brightened my day and made me realize their potential for so much more. All they need is warmth, direction and appreciation.”
Established in 1989, Special Care Center is a non-profit school for children with special needs including down’s syndrome, autism and attention deficit hyperactive disorder.
Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana will be starting an F&B Cares Internship program in 2015 for special needs teenagers to give them an opportunity to build a hospitality career.
