Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Faisal Al-Ansari Contracting to introduce a Hilton Garden Inn hotel to Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia.

Located in the industrial heartland of KSA’s Eastern Province on the Arabia Sea, the new-build 125-room Hilton Garden Inn Al Jubail will enjoy a prime site on the developing Al Jubail Corniche.

The hotel, set to open in 2016, will mark the fifth of Hilton’s mid-range Garden Inn properties in Saudi Arabia, with The Hilton Garden Inn Tabuk set to open later this year.

The other two Garden Inns are planned for 2015 in Riyadh, the 260-room Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Financial District and Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh and the 196-room AL Muroj. The Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Andalusia will add 130 rooms to the capital, with an opening date still to be confirmed.

Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn said: “The highly acclaimed Hilton Garden Inn hotel brand prides itself on providing the growing value-conscious traveller market with a range of superior amenities at an affordable price.

“With an increasing number of new Hilton Garden Inn hotels planned in key cities across the Kingdom, the brand is gathering valuable momentum as Saudi Arabia proves particularly responsive to our dedicated quality service as well as our Hilton Garden Inn Promise of providing an excellent hotel experience for every guest, every time.”

Hilton Garden Inn Al Jubail will feature a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and the, three boardrooms, a multi-purpose meeting room, a business centre and the customary complimentary wifi. Dining options will include a garden lounge and an all-day dining area.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said: “Today’s announcement is particularly timely with all economic indicators suggesting Al Jubail is enjoying an exciting phase of growth.

“This expansion provides the perfect foundation for the hospitality sector to prosper. Affordable hotels, such as Hilton Garden Inn, will help strengthen the city’s reputation as a progressive and dynamic destination.”

Al Jubail is already making an 11.5% contribution to KSA’s non-oil GDP.

Faisal Al-Ansari, owner of Faisal Al-Ansari Contracting, added: “As Al Jubail continues to attract international investment and visitors, Hilton Worldwide was the natural choice of partner to bring the quality experience and first class hospitality standards guests expect of a growing business hub.”

Hilton earlier this year announced that it will bring Garden Inn to the UAE for the first time in early 2015 following a signing with Dubai-based Wasl Hospitality.
