Alison Broadhead will lead Dubai hotelier's strategic partnerships

Jumeirah Group has appointed Alison Broadhead as chief commercial officer to head up sales, marketing and revenue activities across the company’s 22 hotels.

Based in Dubai and reporting to chief operating officer Nicholas Clayton, Broadhead is tasked with managing the brand’s expansion into new markets and its strategic partnerships across the globe.

She will drive Jumeirah’s commercial strategy, and be in charge of building profitable growth, increasing brand awareness and value and leading an international sales and marketing team.

Reflecting on her first few months in the role, Broadhead said: “Jumeirah is a world class brand. Whether you look at the company’s performance in its home base of Dubai, its expanded portfolio in Europe or emerging presence in Asia, Jumeirah relentlessly delivers on its Stay Different brand promise.

Additional responsibilities include the company’s loyalty programme Sirius, its website and social media platforms.

Born in Aberdeen Scotland, Broadhead has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, of which 15 were spent in the Asia Pacific region.

Before joining Jumeirah, she worked at Queenstown Resort College in New Zealand, and prior to this at Marriott International.

While at Marriott, Broadhead held a number of senior international positions including director of international business management/global finance services in Washington DC, area general manager in Australia/New Zealand, general manager, Singapore Marriott and regional director of sales and marketing, Asia Pacific.
