Cove Rotana Resort wins top environmental awards

Ras Al Khaimah resort receives two awards for sustainable practices

The Cove Rotana Resort received two awards from the Environment Protection & Development Authority for best environmental practices and best practices in saving water, electricity and paper in Ras Al Khaimah.

The Cove Rotana Resort received the awards and certificates during a special ceremony held at the RAK Chamber of Commerce on December 31, 2013.

Mr. Andreas Mueller, general manager of The Cove Rotana Resort, said “The Cove Rotana Resort is very proud to have won the award in recognition of our continuous approach to sustainability. We have dedicated ourselves tirelessly to the environmental causes for the betterment of our Emirate.

"This award brings us another strong drive to persist with our commitment and a unique opportunity to inspire others. We will continue to implement our energy awareness programme to maintain energy and water savings, while endeavoring to increase the awareness of energy efficiency amongst our staff and guests.”

The Environment Protection and Development Authority has as its mission to protect the environment by providing excellent environmental services and urging everyone to protect and develop natural resources.
