The resort joins Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of four hotels in Ras Al Khaimah, with the latest located on the trunk of Marjan Island, one of five artificial islands close to the upscale area of Al Hamra. With views of the Arabian Gulf, the 485-room DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island will feature a mix of guest rooms and suites, sea-view rooms and villas, all with access to the resort’s private 650-metre beach.
Speaking about the opening DoubleTree by Hilton global head John Greenleaf said: “Ras Al Khaimah is a destination filled with fascinating surprises, and it’s easy to see why the Emirate is attracting more visitors seeking the true essence of the Middle East.”
“DoubleTree by Hilton has enjoyed great success in Ras Al Khaimah since opening our first UAE location there in 2011, and I am delighted that we can now offer an upscale beach resort option to travellers in the UAE,” he added.
DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island will also feature the UAE’s first eforea: spa, Hilton Worldwide’s exclusive spa concept, including seven relaxing treatment rooms along with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam facilities.
Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East and Africa said: “I am delighted we now have four diverse upscale hotels open in Ras Al Khaimah, a rising destination where tourism is a vital element of the local economy. As a global company with a worldwide reach, Hilton Worldwide is making a worthy contribution in raising the profile of Ras Al Khaimah on the international stage and helping to support its growing status as a leading destination for authentic culture, tradition and adventure.”
Guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island can enjoy the 650-metre private beach, on site facilities include a fitness centre, five temperature controlled pools, with two designed especially for children, and a range of dining options ranging from all-day dining options to a rooftop bar.
Remco Werkhoven, general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island said: “Behind everything we do is the DoubleTree by Hilton mantra of ‘Where the little things mean everything’, inspiring our team members to offer hotel guests an all-important individual, personalised service, starting with a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in, which sets the tone of delivering these little things which make a guest’s stay even more meaningful. It is this genuine understanding, coupled with the brand’s focus on providing upscale amenities such as the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty programme, that will support our goal of becoming a valued member of the Ras Al Khaimah community.”
