Mafraq Hotel Abu Dhabi's Health Zone menu has been certified by the Abu Dhabi Health Authority and the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority in line with Weqaya standards. 

The Weqaya service was launched by the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) to help families in Abu Dhabi live healthier and more active lives. It is a screening programme that identifies cardiovascular risk factors and assists in improving the individual's health status. The certification is awarded to hotels and outlets whose menus contribute towards a healthy diet.

The Health Zone concept at Mafraq Hotel offers guests food options including salads, low fat steamed and grilled food, wholegrain bread sandwiches, minimum oils and fats, vitamin packed soups, fresh seasonal fruits and low fat yogurt shakes. The meals are low in fat, low in salt, high in fibre and always less than 750 calories per item.

“We are very proud to be one of the very few and select hotels to have the Weqaya logo on our Health Zone menus. This comes as an addition to our already existing sports and health facilities to ensure our guests find the outlets and services they require to remain active and healthy while staying with us,” says Mafraq Hotel Abu Dhabi general manager Mario Scotto.

The four-star independent hotel in Abu Dhabi has five outlets; signature steak restaurant the Burlington Grill; all-day dining Mediterranean The Olive Branch; international pub Hunter’s Bar; Oriental bar Rimal Bar; and, pool-side Oasis Courtyard.
