Shangri-La to open in London's The Shard in March
Asian firm to launch its first London hotel in Europe's tallest tower
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is due to open its first London hotel in Europe's tallest building, The Shard, in March 2013.
The 202-key Shangri-La at The Shard, London will occupy floors 34 to 53 of the 1016ft (310m) tower and will comprise 185 deluxe guestrooms spanning 42 square metres each, plus 17 suites.
Each room will come equipped with the "Shangri-La Bed", featuring patented body-contouring technology and designer LCD televisions.
In addition, the hotel will feature a comprehensive range of business and communication features, a fine-dining restaurant as well as an indoor infinity swimming pool and fitness centre with panoramic views of the London skyline.
The Shard was designed by Architect Renzo Piano and is due to open on February 1, 2013.
