The shortlist for the Housekeeper of the Year is the third awards category shortlist to be announced this week, with 16 more to be uncovered within the next five weeks.
The Hotelier Middle East Awards celebrate the best and brightest members of the hospitality industry at a glittering event at the Madinat Jumeirah on October 19.
Many events choose to laud the hotel chains and their owners for their undoubtedly pivotal efforts - but this is not that event.
At the Hotelier Middle East Awards, we aim to shine a light on the hardworking men and women, from the concierge to the laundry managers, who each make an invaluable contribution to the amazingly complicated machine that is a modern hotel. Over 600 guests are expected to attend the event, but only 19 will walk away with a coveted trophy.

Housekeeper of the Year
It's one of the more thankless tasks within the industry, but no less crucial. An effective housekeeper needs to be both diligent and detail-oriented, able to locate and cut costs when needed, and able to show leadership to one of the hardest-working teams in the business. Our nominees show these skills as a matter of course, and then go above and beyond the call of duty, using targeted team-building exercises to take their team to the next level.
