JUNG
Tell us about your company and its core services for the hospitality industry?
JUNG offers all the different aspects of guest room management systems. This includes everything from the outdoor unit where the guest can read the room number and tag the access card, to a full suite of devices. All these devices are complemented by the sockets, USB chargers, a thermostat and wall devices are in a uniform design language and aesthetic.
JUNG provides these solutions with a superior power saving scheme which allows the property to keep the standards of comfort in terms of cooling and lighting, while reducing the electricity consumption bill.
What are the latest products that you have launched that hotels can benefit from?
A veritable innovation in the field of lighting control premiered through Plug & Light is one of our latest introductions. This is the first light socket, which in combination with suitable light units, ensures reliable light in interiors that is easy to regulate. The corresponding LED light units dock onto the light socket via a magnet and the light is immediately flicker-free and dimmable – from bright to dark to warm dim, which is equivalent to a light bulb. Once fitted, each light unit can be swiveled continuously by 360° and can be easily replaced even when in use. This is under the motto of “Rethinking light with JUNG” as this innovation places light in regular backboxes of electrical sockets and switches and adds majorly to the design flexibility.
Why should hotel owners look at engaging in your services?
One of our unique feature lies in the fact that anything launched with the brand’s name must be of highest material quality, production precision, and quality control with a special focus on refined aesthetic design to meet all expectations set by end-users as well as interior designers and architects. That is why we have references that go decades without any refurbishment for our items. As there is no decoloring of our metals or plastic. Another strongpoint is the ability to match all the wiring devices and smart switches to be from the same finish and range.
Can you tell us about a few hotel projects you have recently worked on?
Recently we have completed a few renewal projects like Le Meridien Hotel and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with a promising line up in the works.
Our previous work includes Abu Dhabi Capital gate, now known as Andaz Hotel, which included a full in-room Guest Room Management System for controlling lights, curtains, temperature and other aspects of guest convenience with matching wiring accessories.
In a time where costs are being tightly controlled, how can you ensure that your products are the right long term investments for hotel owners/contractors?
In addition to the assurance the German brand’s quality adds to the investment, JUNG’s GRMS systems promise industry leading operational savings aimed for a quick return on investment. This is achieved through superior power saving schemes and products that allow the property to keep the standards of comfort in terms of cooling and lighting, while reducing the electricity consumption bill.
Products like the motion and presence sensors, combined with revolutionary techniques with timers and contacts, ensure the property automatically manage the absence of the guest from the room to trigger the necessary scenes for optimal comfort and saving. These techniques are custom made for each project in the region given the need of the hoteliers and technical consultants alike.
