Shangri-La Hotels to expand in India with five new properties
Recently, the group announced plans to expand in Saudi Arabia
Shangri-La hotels and resorts has plans to open five new hotels in India by 2024, a report by Economic Times revealed.
According to the newspaper, the group is looking at Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata and Hyderabad as potential cities to launch their properties.
The group’s executive vice president for the Middle East, India & Indian Ocean, John Northern told the newspaper that they are not aiming at opening properties in every city, but that they are looking for the right location.
Currently, Shangri-La has two hotels in the cities of Delhi and Bengaluru.
The hospitality group recently announced plans to expand in Saudi Arabia.
