Oman’s ministry of tourism has issued guidelines for tourists visiting Salalah during khareef season.

According to the ministry, tourists will have to exercise caution while visiting the beach during khareef. People have also been urged against swimming during high tide.

Several tourists drive down to Salalah, and officials have asked them to make sure they check their tyres to avoid accidents caused due to tyre bursts. Tourists will also have to make sure they travel in a four-wheel drive if they will be visiting mountainous regions.

Officials have also warned people against going too close to waterbodies and to read signboards that have been put up everywhere.
