French President Nicolas Sarkozy is set to make a speech on terrorism at the Oberoi Trident Hotel, that was attacked two years ago in Mumbai.

Gunmen from Pakistan killed 166 guests and staff during the November 2008 attacks on Mumbai and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that he had spoken with Sarkozy about “common concerns” including Pakistan, Afghanistan and terrorism.

France is India’s fifth-biggest trading partner and trade between the two countries in the first nine months of this year was US $7 billion.
