Hyatt Capital Gate, Abu Dhabi Two restaurants in a tilting hotel. The unique structure of Abu Dhabi's new leaning hotel, Hyatt Capital Gate - which tilts a record breaking 18˚C confronted the F&B team with a variety of design challenges. For example, where items are usually craned in to high floors, here everything had to be brought up from the ground floor in an interior lift. The process was worth it, however, with the signature restaurant, called 18˚C and located on the 18th floor, offering panoramic views of the city, Italian furniture and three show kitchens. The restaurant features a menu of speciality sharing dishes originating from the Eastern Mediterranean. On the ground floor, the more casual Profiterole serves sweet and savoury versions of the choux buns it is named after to guests relaxed in comfortable chairs under a huge Lasvit Bohemian-glass chandelier.
