Hi there, Having been a Director of Sales and Marketing for a Five Star Hotel in Qatar there is just this energy in Qatar since the Asian Games it has built a reputation as the most successful State in The Middle East, Qatar was put on the map once the Asian Games were over and continues to appeal to people and companies in particular. For sometime Qatar was considered the poorer sister to Dubai and at last Qatar now has the recognition it deserves, as for Simi's comment about "car racing" I presume he is very young what I would say to him is "have you ever travelled into Doha and not seen a car crash and people dying as a result" wake up and smell the coffee my friend" - Car Racing is not good respect others. I would also like a list of these hotels it should make interesting reading if and when it becomes available please let me know. Keep Going Qatar - Your Doing Great - Well Done... I agree that Qatar has become a very interesting market. Never the less, there are not enough events in the country to support all the extra room nights coming up! But on the other hand the competition is needed and will be healthy. Forcing the existing hotels to raise their standards and services!!!
