Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa has appointed Clive Micallef as its new executive chef, who has almost two decades of international hospitality and restaurant experience.

Originally from Malta, Micallef has worked at venues including Grosvenor House Park Lane in London, United Kingdom. His most recent role was complex executive sous chef at The Westin & Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Complex in Dubai, UAE.

In his new capacity, Micallef will be overseeing the culinary operations for the resort’s banquets, in-room dining services and outside catering in addition to eight dining venues including Arabian restaurant Al Hadheerah, Indian restaurant Masala, traditional Italian outlet Le Dune, the all-dining international restaurant Al Forsan, Al Sarab’ Rooftop Lounge, Ya Hala Lobby Lounge, and the Pool Bar.
