It contained chicken quarters, chicken liver, king prawns, Asian sea bass , baby leek, tarragon , yams, risoni pasta, golden beetroot, raspberries, mangoes, star anise and white chocolate.

After 30 minutes of writing menus, the young chefs started cooking. Kitchen judges were keeping an eye on cooking skills, as well as product use, wastage, hygiene and work flow. Finally, the tasting judges marked the participants on presentation, flavour, and taste.

The competition was organised by Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek director of kitchens and Emirates Chefs' Guild president Uwe Micheel and Daniel Hiltbrunner Conseiller Culinaire Honoraire from ICCA.
