Dubai International Airport has upgraded its free Wi-Fi speed to 100mpbs, making it the fastest free internet speed offered in any airport in the world, reports ArabianBusiness.com.
'WOW-Fi' offers a free connection for all passengers passing through the world’s busiest international airport in the world.
The upgrade is an improvement on DXB’s upgraded free unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi connection which offered a 5mbps connection speed.
Dubai Airports executive vice president of Technology and Infrastructure Michael Ibbitson said: “To support these travellers, late last year we launched unlimited free high-speed Wi-Fi across our airports, but our goal was to offer something they have never experienced at an airport before.”
Dubai Airport handled 83.6 million travellers in 2016, according to new figures.
Dubai Airports (DXB) has announced that effective March 8, 2017, it is implementing a new baggage rule that states bags without flat surfaces will be rejected at airline check-in counters.
