Golden Tulip opens first Royal Tulip hotel in MENA

Golden Tulip has opened its first Royal Tulip branded luxury hotel in the Middle East and North Africa in Alexandria, Egypt.

The group was appointed by the Armed Forces of Egypt to manage the Royal Tulip Alexandria Hotel, which comprises 477 rooms, suites and villas designed by J/Brice Design International.

Golden Tulip MENA president Amine E. Moukarzel said of the opening: “This is a signature milestone for Golden Tulip as we highlight our commitment to the MENA region by opening our first luxurious Hotel under the Royal Tulip brand which is also one of the largest hotels in the MENA region.

“Alexandria connects Mediterranean, North Africa and Middle East and is a city of commercial, arts and leisure; we thank the Armed Forces of Egypt and we are proud of this partnership that will be an important and great addition to our portfolio”.

The hotel offers 10 F&B outlets including Bamboo Asian restaurant, Al Eskandarani Seafood Restaurant, Afandi Lebanese Restaurant, Ristretto lobby lounge and Churchill bar.

There is a 24-hour business centre, five meeting rooms and two conference halls. Other hotel facilities include a movie theatre, spa, outdoor swimming pool and 24-hour gym.

Golden Tulip is part of Louvre Hotels Group, which compromises six hotel brands ranging from one- to five-star, making the group the second largest group in Europe and eighth worldwide by number of properties with more than 1100hotels in 43 countries.
