Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate has joined the ‘Union Tree initiative’ launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The initiative involves planting a 'Union Tree' to demonstrate the spirit of the union of the emirates as part of the 41st UAE National Day celebrations.
Michael Nugent, general manager of the hotel, planted a Union Tree in the hotel courtyard.
He also called on hotel employees to join the initiative and plant a Union Tree in their gardens at home to show their gratitude to the nation as well as helping to promote environmental awareness.
