Millennium and Copthorne hotels is “actively looking” to bring its loft-concept brand Studio M to the Middle East and Africa market, with an initial focus on major GCC cities.

The design-led brand features loft-style guest rooms fully-equipped with high-tech amenities.

“I am excited about Studio M. It is fresh and innovative, and very different from anything currently in the market,” Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, president and CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Middle East and Africa, said in a statement.

“When people think of hip hotels, they think it is expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Studio M makes the look and feel of high end modern design available to a much wider market segment, and it combines the right design with the technological connectivity guests want,” he added.

Trendy design, comfort and affordability are reconciled in Studio M as the three-star budget brand creates a luxurious feeling of light and space through its loft living concept and contemporary clean design, according to the group.

The first Studio M hotel, located in Singapore, was designed by Italian maestro PieroLissoni.

Studio M is targeted at business travellers with ample working spaces downstairs and a relaxing bed space upstairs.

The unique design and brand guides mean the brand is available selectively to new build properties only.
