The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh North Ring Road in Saudi Arabia.
The property will feature 252 rooms and is scheduled to welcome its first guests in Q1 2015.
Saudi Arabia continues to be a priority market for the Rezidor Hotel Group in the Middle East, the company stating the country’s strong economy, natural resources and domestic markets “substantiate an aggressive market strategy”.
“We are glad to further strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia. This is already the second hotel we have signed in the Kingdom this year”, said Kurt Ritter, president and CEO of Rezidor.
Speaking on behalf of Mafaz International Development Company, the owner and developer of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Ring Road, the general manager of Mafaz, Emad Al Hubayyeb, said the company was glad to announce the project.
“The Riyadh hotel market is very promising, considering the continued growth and demand on the hotel industry in the KSA,” he asserted.
“Our hotel project is placed in an excellent location and we are excited to serve the business sector and community of Riyadh with the state of the art facilities. The hotel will be part of a mixed-used property, which will have in addition to the hotel first-class office complex, an internationally-branded ladies spa, as well as high end retail space.”
The new Radisson Blu will feature two restaurants and a lounge, 1,600sqm of meeting space (including a 1,200sqm ballroom), a business centre and a fitness centre with outdoor swimming pool and juice bar. In addition the hotel will also offer a 1500sq m female-only spa.
