Sharihan Mashary, senior student at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, won a local competition to cook beside three michelin-starred chef, Pierre Gagnaire, and be his apprentice for a day.

Entrants who submitted their short filmed pitches to the competition were shortlisted down to three and invited to a ‘cook-off’ on January 25 in the Reflets par Pierre Gagnaire kitchen at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel.
Each of the finalists had to prepare a dish to wow the panel of judges. The dishes were judged on presentation, taste and skill.

A hotel spokesperson told Hotelier: "Each candidate had their own level of passion, style and personality and it was a very tough call!"
