A new cruise facility has been launched by Nakheel to take visitors on a tour of the Palm Jumeirah and World Islands.
‘Cruise with Nakheel’ will sail around the inner waters of Palm Jumeirah’s crescent, offering a fresh perspective of its luxury resorts, villas and marina for both visitors and residents of Dubai.
It will offer trips in groups of up to 12, 15 or 30 people, on three sizes of vessel, including an 80-foot double-decker Houseboat. The other boats are 38-feet and 52-feet, with prices starting from AED 1000 (US $272).
Saeed Harib, managing director of Nakheel Marine and Leisure, said: “Cruise with Nakheel is a completely new concept for marine tourism. Travellers can now go 'inside' Palm Jumeirah and enjoy views of the island and its buildings as never before. The Palm is already one of Dubai's biggest attractions, and we look forward to bringing more visitors to this world-famous landmark through our new cruise service.”
The cruises operate daily between 9am and 5pm, beginning at the Nakheel offices on Al Sufouh Road and last one hour. They sail north between the tips of the island’s fronds and 11.5km along its crescent.
